Vv Volcano

Levi is completely enthralled with volcanoes; ever since we watched a volcano clip on youtube, and he found out we live close to one (ie Mt. Reindeer as he and we called it at his age!). The funnest moment was on 12.22.12 when the Mayan calendar ended ie the end of the world. As I was getting breakfast ready he parted the curtains (facing Mt. Rainer), gasped and asked 'is that volcano exploding?' I thought for sure it was all true, this was the end! :-)

I found this science kit at Goodwill (score!) which allowed us to have a lot of fun being scientists and doing two volcano experiments

 and then I placed some baking soda on tray and let the boys use pipettes to drop colored vinegar on it
