It was the first weekend in December and my mom and I decided it was well past time to get into the Christmas spirit. So we hung lights while we taught the boys Jingle Bells, because my mom laughed at my attempt to sing any other Christmas song; apparently I don't know the correct words to them.
Then it was off to get a tree- which we thought was a brilliant plan until halfway into the tree farm we realized my dad was in China and Devin was up North helping his brother... WE were going to have to cut the tree down and carry it out by OURSELVES. Needless to say we looked closer to the truck.
After the tree and without delay we traded cars and raced to the Christmas parade... it's a 'can't miss' for our small town filled with non-decorated cars, loud trucks, a few floats, and of course our high school band and cheer-team being out-beat by the neighboring schools.

We're going on a tree hunt....
Found our tree!
Traditional tree cutting: everyone gets their turn with the saw
At the parade
and a few days later we wrote letters to Santa {Levi said he wanted a real motorcycle to ride and he wrote out the word 'Santa' as best he could with the letters sprawled all over the page, while Owen asked for a bike and colored quite the picture}
Merry {late} Christmas everyone!
