2015 has been quite an adventure for our family
We survived the heat of AZ, spent hours in the pool, and moved twice (within two months).
After roughly three years of uncertain/limbo living we are finally stable again in our first rental house (with a backyard and orange tree!!!!) that we love.
DEVIN received his MASTER of Arts in Bio-medical Science in the Spring, shortly after being ACCEPTED INTO DENTAL SCHOOL.
This brought on a mix if emotions. No one tells you how stressful it is to be accepted and know your life path is set with hundreds of thousands of dollars owed. Whew.
It also meant 4years in AZ, a long distance from family. But in the past few months we've adjusted to the warmth and are well on our way to becoming Arizonians (I shuttered at the rain the other day... what!?!).
Devin also started a new hobby building ELECTRIC BIKES. He thoroughly enjoys it and has attracted a lot of attention; recently he helped a fellow classmate build his own.
I, LINDSAY, grew in a lot of ways. Mainly physically, as I am expecting a BABY BOY!!! in January. As well as personally as I took on a SUMMER JOB working for Parks and Recreation at a summer day camp, and spent a semester TEACHING a 3-4yr old preschool class as part of a homeschooling co-op. Which I loved! And am sad to be stepping back from as we prepare for baby boy.
LEVI had taken off in his questioning. It's been such an interesting year with his choice in subject topics (ie evolution, true knowledge, finding a reliable source, among any topic on the human body or mechanics). We have had many wonderful discussions with him. He also did GYMNASTICS, and taught himself to SWIM the crawl stroke (he could live in the pool).
OWEN gained a love-hate relationship with SOCCER, as we found a free class and you get what you pay for. He loves to learn, and teases his older brother by figuring out answers faster.
KYLIE turned one, is POTTY TRAINING as she pleases. LOVES nursery, singing, and babies (emphasis on the babies). She is completely SPOILED and a mama's girl.
Baby Boy. After many discussions, family meetings, name drawings, and other crazy methods of trying to pick a name, we let Levi decide (he was the most opinionated out of all of us). WYATT Orland. He is a serious mover; it's rather painful sometimes. The boys have had some special, silly moments sitting together taking turns with their hands on my belly feeling the hard kicks and laughing as their hands are bounced away.
We feel so blessed to be where we are in life right now. Things have been hard (dental school is no walk in the park), we've had our moments of stress (don't even get me started on student loans or homeschooling), there are long messy days stuck at home, and completely overwhelming moments in the grocery store. At the end of the day I go to bed exhausted while Devin stays up to study, but each morning the sun shines bringing a new day full of promise and we press on.
Our little family is growing, we are healthy enough to run and play, yell and fight, and grow and learn, as we love each other. We are truly blessed.
MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE LINDSTROM FAMILY.
