2013

The year 2013 started off pretty low-key for us. Devin had a job he loved at a dentist office, and was still awaiting dental school decisions. I was content to be a full-time stay-at-home mom with the boys. And Levi and Owen loved having so many cousins around to play with and grandparents to spoil them.
Roughly mid-year there were some bumps, literally and figuratively, as we found out I was pregnant with our first girl! and Devin received his final rejection letter from the fifteen applied-to dental schools.
From there things got a little crazy... with three weeks before the semester started Devin decided to re-apply as a continuing education student to BYU-Idaho, and was accepted. So we packed up what fit in the car and left. The original plan was for Devin to attend two semesters, possibly three, while he awaited another round of dental school decisions, and worked on improving his GPA. But upon thinking it over we realized only the Fall semester would add to his application, as he can only update the application once and by the time Winter semester was over so would final dental school decisions. So it was decided instead of spending money, he would find a job and make money. In the meantime, Devin worked hard in his classes, I grew the best belly I could, Levi started learning how to read, and Owen learned to ride a bike without training wheels.
The year ended with a holiday trip home, job applications being placed in two different states and eight dental school decisions still awaiting. Things are always a little crazy with us, and we hope 2014 is a little calmer in the moving department but just as full of excitement as you never know what we'll do next.... and neither do we!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
