Good Luck Send Off

{just a little back information: the office at which Devin works is open Monday-Thursday, half days on Thursdays  and next week (ie the week leading up to the DC weekend) the office is closed because the dentist is going on an anniversary cruise}

Tuesday, on his way home from work, we found out about Devin's interview. 

Wednesday he shared the news with the other staff at the dental office where he works. 

Thursday he came home with two gift bags full of notes, toys (they know him too well), and snacks for his trip, followed by a vocal apology from 'the girls' about how they had to throw it together on their way home from work last night, and before work that morning (which starts at 6:40am), as if that was needed! 

How sweet is that? 

We LOVE the office he works at, the dentist is great and the staff is like family!

the card held a note from everyone. My favorite was from Storm (who basically runs all operations):

'Devin, 

Here is your motherly advice.

1. Make sure your clothes are wrinkle free

2. Smile so they know you have all you teeth

3. Stand up straight and don't mumble

4. Say it like you mean it

5. Know we love you here back at home

Now go get 'em and make us proud'

and we had a good chuckle from the doctor's

'Don't screw it up! Good luck'

and 'the girls' were very kind in offering advice throughout their half day Thursday, our favorite from Jen:

'You'll do great Devin, just don't correct the interviewers'

followed by chuckling from the dentist

in Devin's defense he has NEVER corrected the dentist, it's 'the girls' (ie hygienists  and assistants  that he likes to bestow his knowledge upon! and sadly he is ALWAYS right... 'the girls' and I have bonded over this.

We are definitely blessed.
