Claustrophobic

I thought I was just weird when I couldn't stand the wall of our apartment, the pavement surroundings, and the lack of nothing until my mother-in-law admitted she had the same 'claustrophobia' when she lived in town.

There is something stress relieving about riding in the back of a truck, motorcycle, four-wheeler, hearing nothing but the sounds of natural nature; a creek running, birds singing. And so every so often I pack up the boys and make Devin take us out to The Farm, where we get lost in our family. No phone service, no internet, no camera, sloppy outfits, messy hair, and shoe-lessly enjoying us.

This day we disappeared from responsibility, rode the four-wheeler, jumped on the jet ski, then swam in a pool, and enjoyed back-porch evening conversation with Todd, Kerri, and Kenna- family.
