Dash Point

April 5th we took the boys to an optometrist. Owen does this thing we call crazy eyes... because it freaked me out when he started doing it. Basically he will look up with his right eye and his left will stay looking forward. CRAZY. The boys did really well and the doctor said that Levi is already at 20-20, which I didn't realize children gradually attain that- duh, I know! And he said that Owen knew how to do a cool trick but not to encourage it and just have him checked regularly. {If anyone is looking for an optometrist I totally recommend North West Vision and Learning Center in Federal Way; he was great with the boys and even took time for Devin and me}
After the appointment we went to Dash Point (because if we drive more than 20-30minutes from home Devin decides to make a day out of it, to make the gas$ worth it). Dash Point is a State Park on the Sound that has a little creek running into it; it had a lot of fun things to climb on and over and through, and all sorts of things to find.

Here's Levi in a tree by the creek that went into the sound, and us having our picnic lunch

After eating it was time to explore

 Devin and I carried the boys through a muddy section and over the creek where there was more to explore... and both of us stepped into a deep mud hole

 Levi thought it was pretty fun to climb on EVERYTHING! and told us this was his fast race car...

 ...and this was his resting spot

 On our walk down the waterfront we found a Barbie kite, after Devin untangled it and the boys had enough fun with it...

... they decided to give it to some girls who were also at the park

 It was one fun filled relaxing day... and a relief to know that we have the all-clear on our eyes!
