Let the rejections begin...

I've decided applying to dental school is the most drawn out, stressful, confusing process ever! First you do the AADSAS application, then you get asked for secondaries (with another fee) from the individual universities, which makes you think there is a glimmer of hope! Devin was so excited to hear back from Loma Linda, filled out the secondary with determination to get in, and a week later, BAM rejected. So we start questioning what we did wrong, did we mess up the secondary that bad??? and then we are reminded by a good friend that it's been rumored that dental schools use secondaries, with their lovely fees, as a way to generate revenue. And of course you fill it all out and pay it because you have no idea if you are a 'chosen one', or a revenue maker... totally lame!

On a positive note, we finally got a print out of Devin's DAT scores, which states his score is in the top 90th percent (which makes a lot more sense to people than saying he got a 21). And we know that we have been blessed in our efforts (refer to DAT score), and our Heavenly Father is watching over us. It will all work out in the end.

One down thirteen to go!
