Lost Little Doggie

The other day we were all sitting down to lunch- Devin and I at the table and Levi in his highchair pulled up close. Levi was quietly eating his hotdog when suddenly he started the following conversation:

Levi: 'Mommy, Mommy'

Me: 'What?'

Levi: 'Doggie'

Me: (confused) 'Where'

Levi: (sucking in his belly and pointing to the gap between him and the highchair tray) 'Down there!'

Devin and I momentarily sat in silence then both started laughing.... he had dropped a piece of his 'doggie' (hotdog) down his belly and onto his lap!

It's probably only funny because we are his parents but his vocabulary is really expanding and everyday he surprises me with the things he puts together and comes up with all on his own.
