Walk-the-Walk

Lately I've been starting to nanny earlier. For the first few hours of the morning it's just been Mirielle and us so I've had to think up activities that are more three-year-old (and younger) centered.
The other morning we came up with a walkway (made from foam puzzle pieces- very handy for many games: musical squares, runway shows, hopscotch... who knew 12X12 foam squares would be so useful). At first we would hop down the walkway and make an animal sound (moo, oink, tweet...), then we got more creative and not only made the sound but 'walked' down the walkway like that animal (hopping/skipping/crawling/scooting),

and of course we had to end by walking down the walkway like princesses!

Although Levi looked at us like we were crazy and didn't want to join in he found a horse and made his own animal sounds.

It was a great way to go through animals, their sounds, and the way they walk.
